Picking A Project
In the initial stage of research I came up with a few different ideas for a final project. Some ideas I had was some storage dividers for under my truck seats, making scale size cars, and making an oil filter socket set.
Proposal
This is my project proposal, that I turned in. What it says is that I will be making a case as well as sockets for that case. The sockets and case will be made from the 3D Printer. It also says that I will be using the vinyl machine to make decals for the case. Finally, it also says that I am going to put a laser engraved piece of acrylic inside the top of the case.
Building The Project
In these images here, I am printing the different size sockets. Each print took between two and three hors to print. I made each size a different color so I didn't get them confused.
In these pictures it shows the engraving of the acrylic. It shows final assembly of the project. It also shows that some sanding was required for proper fitment.

Summary
I really enjoyed making this project in class. I enjoyed the various steps of the project and I enjoyed being able to create something that I would use, as well as making it with my own hands. I found out when it got close to the end of the semester, that it was better to work ahead and get stuff done and not wait till the end to do everything. I felt like I could have made some of my designs look better and not have been in as big of a of a rush towards the end. I am happy with the way that it turned out because it looks great, and I can use it at my job. Overall, I really enjoyed this class and project. I liked that we used many different machines throughout the year, I wish we did more with vinyl because that is my favorite.
